Yes indeed folks the summer is here! Woo, but I'm still protesting putting the air on LOL. I have the shade during the day so its not too bad especially with the breeze coming in. Anyways, its nice and cool at night so its all good :) Ok enough about the heat and the breezes I've got stuff to do so this has to be short, well, shortER than most entries. Yesterday I went out to McDuffy's with Jen. I honestly felt so old...the guys we were talking to and dancing with were like 21/22 years old hahaha, now I think we're getting to the age that you have to ask a guys age when you meet him. I told Jen that pretty soon people are going to be saying, "Why are there old people in the bar" LOL Anywho, I think thats a Southside thing, I dont really feel as old as often when I'm in the city bars. Thats where I'm headed tonight actually, heh heh heh. Amy's friend Jeff is in town and he and his friend and maybe Michelle too are going to head up north and hit the town. I'm totally looking forward to it, I havent seriously gone drinking and bar hopping on the Northside in god knows how long. Tonight, I wouldnt worry about getting any drunk phone calls from me because I probably wont be able to read the contacts list to call anyone LOL. Oh boy, well I better get going because I have to clean up the house a little and then Jen's baby shower is today at 3. Later tators!

    <lj:music>"Confessions of a Broken Heart"-Lindsey Lohan</lj:music>

This week is draggin on big time. Ok so last entry I was just back from Denver huh? I spent last week training with Liz on this Bookkeeping stuff and as of Thursday I am the new LPT bookkeeper/property accountant/whatever you want to call me. So far so good, Im almost through this month's assessments and today I get to hand out pay checks!!! They let me be in charge of peoples money, aint it funny? Naw, I like this job better I get my own office so no one bugs me AND I have my own refrigerator. Sweet deal. Last weekend, the former security director picked up me and my coworkers and took us all to dinner at Maggiano's downtown. Its nice enough to have dinner there but its even nicer when someone else pays!! After dinner, Liz and I hopped across the street to Fado in hopes of running into that Oak Lawn Irishman again...he wasnt there, no cute guys were there matter of fact, so we each had one beer and left. Saturday I stayed home because I needed to save my voice for Monday night, and whenever I go to a smokey bar I always have a raspy voice for a day or two and it was extremely important to have my voice in best working order. Sunday, Nina and I drove down to Bloomington to visit Allison and meet baby Allie. WHAT A CUTIE PIE!!! Shes so little and teeny tiny and cute!! I got to hold her a few times and feed and burp her :) it was fun lol. We headed back home, and got a bite to eat at Bennigans. I hope you're feeling better Nina, I really think we should have told them the food was bad....although theres still time, lets try going back tonight!! lol Monday, after almost getting killed in the car on muliple occasions with my father, I got to work and spent the whole day totally nervous about the competition. My parents picked me up from work and we headed to Duffys early to get some dinner. Registration started at 7 and I had told everyone the comp. started at 8pm...however, it started at 730 and since I was there so early I sang third for the night. The only people that were there to hear me were my parents. One of the residents from my building did come to see me, but he was too late since I told him the wrong time. I really wanted to sing for him too since he IS a singer. He's a cool dude though, he stayed for a beer with my parents and I then we all left. I went to bed at 10pm on Monday night, and it felt like it was 3am I was so tired. So now its Wednesday, Chesney is getting a crew cut at the doggy groomer right now, Im really anxious to see what she looks like! Nothing really else on tap for the week, if anyone has any ideas for the weekend though let me know. I'm in a mood to really get out and cause some trouble...its been a really stressful few weeks. Ok, catch y'all later!

    <lj:music>"I Cant Sleep"- Clay Walker</lj:music>

I have nothing to look forward to now :( I'm so sad, so sad indeed that I'm planning another trip LOL. I think I may revisit Denver for my birthday...but its just a glimmer of an idea right now. Anywho...<br /><br /><br />Apparently I dont have an infection like the Kentucky doctor said, because I took all the medicine yet two weeks later I still cant straighten my arm out without screaming in pain. Ummm...yeah thats not supposed to happen. My mom thinks they may have hit a tendon when they injected the contrast in...the shape of my left arm has even changed, right above my elbow my skin is flat and it never was like that before. Oh god, my arm really IS falling off!!! The muscles are tearing away from the bones!!! LOL, hey I never said I was an optimist did I?<br /><br />My week went by super fast last week. I got to work on Tuesday unbelievably tired. Jeff stopped by on his way home, and he left around 2ish, and I went to bed then around 3ish and the alarm went off at 5:30. Needless to say, it got reset to 6:30 lol. The day dragged on and on, but eventually it ended. Thursday the new management company came in to talk to the staff at LPT. They told us that we can keep our jobs!! Not only that, but they were very easily persuaded into letting me have the Bookkeeper position after Liz leaves. Hurray!! I just have to pass a drug test and a background check...which should be that hard because I got a clean slate at 18 and the LSD that was in my system should be gone by the time I have to pee LOL haha just kidding. Liz has been training me on her job, its a lot to learn I hope I do ok. Thursday night I took Chesney to my grandparents house where she was vacationing for the weekend. She absolutely loved my grandpa, I think she could tell he was sick because she brought all her toys next to his chair and just sat by his side. I love that dog, I really got lucky...sure she can be a crazy terror but no dog is as lovable as my Chesney :) lol Friday I worked half the day, then flew out to Denver, my newest place for relocation....now that I know where it is in relation to the other states of course lol. Although I was with my parents and it was only a weekend, I had sooooo much fun! We went for breakfast at the Stanley hotel, where they filmed the original "The Shining". Then we walked around Estes Park a bit and did some shopping. After that, we went to dinner with my dads friend and his wife and son. I hadnt seen Carlo in almost 20 years, last time I saw him was in South Carolina and I tried to pull him into the ocean LOL long story. Skip and Colleen tried to find a karaoke bar but had no luck, and ironically enough the restaurant they picked had karaoke on Saturday nights!! Not many people were singing so I got quite a few songs in there...although the altitude really messes with you, it was different than singing around here. Sunday I went home, Denvers airport is by far the coolest airport I've been to in awhile. I got a cab home from Midway, and of course I get the crazy cabbie like the video game. Apparently he had to be back at the airport in a certain time and so he was flying down Cicero like 75 miles an hour. We stopped at the light on 95th and Cicero and he says, "You know I have to be back to the airport in 5 minutes"...I said, "Well I doubt you will even be at my condo in 5 minutes." He continued to drive 75 and in 5 minutes indeed was at my front door, duh. I miss Denver, it was the only time I slept the whole night through in two weeks...I have all the windows open and the fans going now though so I have a good feeling about sleeping tonight :) Ok...time to find my bed under the piles of laundry I dumped on there not too long ago. I have to be at work early tomorrow to help Liz with payroll so I know how to do it next time...fun fun...bed time!! Gnight!!

Uggg...I have to start from the beginning of my weekend at Brendan's then we will get to my fun journey back to Chicago.I cant remember what I wrote in the last entry, but I think it was Saturday morning. Anywho...Brendan and I took a trip downtown to see where his new job would be. Upon finding the exact building, Brendan proceeded to turn into the parking lot from the middle lane and didnt check his blind spot. Of course there was a car there or I wouldnt be telling this story. And of course there were three thugs and a thug woman in the car, or else I again wouldnt be telling this story. I was having flashbacks of scenes from COPS...Brendan forcibly told me to hold his phone in case they decided to pummel him I could at least dial 911. Seems as though the guy didnt have insurance because he didnt want Brendan to call the police, and was happy with a 20 dollar bill to cover the cost of buffing the bity scrape on his POS car. Yeah, what an experience that was. After that we left the downtown area, too much excitement for one day. Following that fun outing, we went to O'Charleys for dinner then to TINSELTOWN!!!! for the Xmen3 showing. During the movie my arm started hurting very bad...for those of you that dont know, I had an MRI last Tuesday because of my migraines. Apparently my veins like to flip out when something other than my blood is in them and consequently my arm has swollen shut. It was very painful and was red and puffy so for Adventure #2 Brendan and I went to the Jewish hospital of Louisville's Emergency Room. Although there were only three people there, it still took almost 4 hours to get out of there with a prescription for antibiotics!!! They asked if I had a religious preferance and I wonder now if I could have been out of there sooner if I said Jewish instead of no preferance. Sunday I filled my prescription and Brendan got his pictures back and now I actually have a cute recent picture of us two HURRAY!!! After Walgreens, we went on a hunt for a mailbox which we eventually found about 100 miles outside Louisville, LOL, ok so it wasnt that far away but it sure was a long drive. Mailbox hunt 2006 was followed by a scrumptious lunch at Whitey C's...aka White Castles. Then Nick came into town, YEAH NICK!! Who is now the newest addition to my Live Journal friends...bringing the total number of friends to a whopping two!! I rule! We went to Liquor Barn and bought tons of stuff, that I'm sorry I didnt have a chance to finish drinking but the three I drank made me drunk enough to puke since I technically am on three medications for the next week. We also saw Poseidon last night, Brendan and Nick laughed about most of the movie. I didnt laugh much, only when the kid was drowning...HE MADE A FUNNY FACE OOKKKK??? Today was Brendans birthday and we celebrated with breakfast at Waffle House. After breakfast I pretty much fell asleep on the floor in the living room watching the Law and Order marathon. I couldnt sleep in his apartment it was too hot, so I was only tired after I was awake if that makes sense. Now heres the good part of my vacation. We all went to Burger King for lunch/early dinner before I left to the airport. I kinda wanted to get there a bit early because I didnt know what the crowds would be like on Memorial Day and all. I ended up getting to my gate at around 4:30 Kentucky time for a 6:30 flight. Ok, no big deal I thought, I have a book to read. There was a 5:05 flight scheduled to go to Midway before my flight. They started announcing delays from the 5:05 flight, which resulted in my flight being switched to another gate. Yes, they switched our gate but that didnt mean that we were flying out on time. Storms in Chicago made it difficult to get planes in and out of Midway so that 6:30 flight ended up taking off around 9:45. Then we get to Chicago, only to sit in the plane because there werent any gates to taxi up to. Finally at about 10:15 we're able to get off the plane and to baggage claim. None of the carosels say Louisville and its not even listed as an arrived plane on the main screen for baggage claim. I waited till about 11:00 and asked the Southwest baggage claim where they were having the bags from Louisville come in, which was carosel 7 and I went and waited. I waited, and I waited and I waited until I got sick of waiting and asked the guy why they told me my bag would be coming out on this number 7 yet Louisville wasnt even on the board. WELL...apparently they threw the Louisville bags mixed in with the four flights listed on number 7 and a few on number 8 too...so my bag I eventually found mixed in with the oversized bags in a separate room from the rest of the bags. UGGG! Thats why I could have driven home quicker. My arm is bugging me still, it went numb on the plane...not cool, I took a few Advil and have a warm towel on it but I'm going to get going for now. TTFN<br /><br />P.S. I am glad to report there were NO snakes on my plane :)

7 days since last post hmmm... I did nothing over the last week LOL Monday I had my job interview. It went ok I guess but she has some other people to talk to. Tuesday I went to the Headache Clinic and got my drugs. I also got an MRI which I believe has left me with an infection from the contrast wahoo!! Wednesday nothing, Thursday we got a temp at work YIPPPEEEEE!!! Friday we closed early which was great, so I went home and relaxed, had dinner at my parents house then headed to the airport. I ran into a girl I knew back in grammar school so we chatted awhile and then I went to my gate and she went to hers. I find someone I know everywhere I go it seems!! Oh and by the way, the guys in the gate waiting to go to Louisville were HOTTTTTTTTT!!! I think I'll move here LOL or maybe just hang out in the airport in the Louisville gates hahaha thats good. Last night we just went looking for pizza and watched a movie. Today, we are going to explore this vast wonderland they call Louisville. Then we will cap it off with an 8 pm showing of Xmen3!! AT TINSELTOWN!!!!!! Can you believe I'm going to TINSELTOWN!!!????!!! wow. Too much for my migraine infected brain to grasp. Ok well I'm done journaling!!

    <lj:music>"Crowded"-Jeannie Ortega</lj:music>

I need to remember that I still have a journal to write, and new things happen on a day to day basis. I've been editing the past entries to prepare them for publication instead of keeping up to date on new entries. Anywho...that day that bit the big one. All the managers went out to a managers meeting at another D&K location. Liz and I were left to our own devices so we ordered a pizza and ate it at the front desk and took tests on Tickle.com! To make matters worse, there was a leak in a unit. When the owner called I didnt know what he was asking me to do...he just kept saying that maintenance needed to do a leak test. Leak tests are scheduled with the owners around the unit which I tried telling him while he was yelling at me. I eventually got the message that the leak was going on NOW and they needed to check the units above...however, one unit was a "Lock Out" meaning you cant enter without permission unless it is an emergency. This was no emergency...but Oh did I get an earful about not giving maintenance the key. At any rate...the managers returned and Liz and I were pulled into our bosses office and given the bad news. D&K would not be the Management company of choice for LPT and some other company was coming in and they didnt have to keep us as part of their staff. Great! So...I went back to my desk and put away the project I was working on. My desk is so clean now its amazing!! Friday the boss let us close the office early, which caused headaches all around...literally. I went to the hair salon to get my eyebrows waxed and a manicure and wound up leaving with a migraine. As I was walking out of the salon I happened to see one of the commissions members with a digital camera, taking pictures of the sign on the door saying the office was closed LOL. I waited until she left, then went into the office and layed down in the backroom until my spots went away. It took almost two hours to get home, and on top of having a migraine!! Not a happy camper was I. I was also in the beginning stages of a sinus infection/bronchitis, which had been going around the office so try coughing when your head feels like its going to explode! I took a nap, then went out with the boss again for karaoke. I just love that guy, I hope I still can hang out with him and his friends now that he has a new job and I may soon too. Well, karaoke in a smokey bar with bronchitis is usually not a good combo so I went home early. Saturday I stayed couch-ridden all day and night, went to bed early then woke up and went to my parents house for Mother's Day. I bought my mom a bunch of yoga gear I think she liked it, I also bought myself a few things lol why not right? Sunday we went to La Mex in Orland for dinner...my mom and I both had two margaritas, the big ones, and I forgot about the Robitussin I took before I left so when I stood up to leave the room spun like no other LOL. Really. When we got home, I took Chesney and went back to my condo. Of course later that night I got another migraine, worse that Fridays and I was thanking my lucky stars I woke up for work on Monday. Monday was pay day so that was a good day. Tuesday while driving home another migraine struck on Cicero Ave in rush hour so I decided to make an appointment next week at the Diamond Headache Clinic and have them do a work up on my head to make these things go away. Wednesday I met up with Rebecca at T.G.I.Fridays for dinner. The cab driver didnt know where Fridays was, he didnt even know where the cross streets I asked him to go to were...wow, maybe he was new. Thursday I got a phone call from Domain Condos and they wanted to set up an interview with me for an Assistant Managers position!!! That happened quick!! This building sounds great...its on Chicago/Halsted, its a loft building over in River North and only has 75 units as opposed to the 857 I'm working for now. It will be quiet, and plus its only a two person office so I will get TONS of on the job training. I will be in charge of assessments, and construction and noise violations YESSSSS!!!!!! Im psyched I hope I get it...but one of my ASM's at LPT is friends with this manager, so basically I'm a shoe in...at least I hope I'm a shoe in LOL....I really want this job, even though its no salary increase I honestly dont care!! Yesterday started off interesting. I was coming down Grand Ave. to turn into the LPT driveway. Theres one little lane going against the traffic on Grand but theres a stop sign, since we have the right away being the flow of traffic...there was a blonde on her cell phone coming up to the stop sign as I was about to turn into the driveway...blinker on and everything and she rolled through the stop sign like I wasnt even there and I missed her bumper by like an inch. I was furrrrrrrious!!!!!! So, the passive aggressive thing to do..I got out of my car quick before she could get out of hers. I made sure that I was going into the lobby doors with her behind me, and I let each door slam in her face. I got great satisfaction hearing <ahhh> everytime the door slammed HAHA. After work, I went out with Brendan and his friends Andy and Dave. We went out to LaGrange. They made me laugh so hard my bronchitis went nuts, so I spent most of last night coughing. Finally I got home and went to bed around 3:30 (we made a Huck Finn stop) WELL...this is good...I wake up at 10am this morning to my room shaking. Sounds like band practice or something...there were drums and guitars and singing and it was coming from across the street but literally my condo was shaking (and still is, two hours later!) I thought my neighbors joined a band and were having practice so I called the cops LOL...I'm good at that...turns out Harley Davidson is having one of five summer fundraisers today ALLLLLLLL DAAAAAAAYYYYYYY. It sounds like I have front row seats at the Tweeter Center I swear. Uggg...ok well so much for sleeping in today. I'm going to do some cleaning and lounging for awhile, so I'll write more later!

    <lj:music>"What's Left of Me"-Nick Lachey</lj:music>

I said that not much happened except for the dream which is true, but there were a few things. I went for dinner with my dad on Monday. That was my fun and excitement after work for the week until Friday. I was invited to go do karaoke with my boss and Assistant Manager on Friday. I came home and got ready then parked at LPT and cabbed over to the bar.I had SOOOO much fun!! Felecia was only there about an hour or so, so the bulk of the time was me and him and his friends. Those guys are such a blast, I hope I get invited back out with them again! I sang three songs, one at the request of Tim, and although I had been super tired and had a few drinks I didnt do too bad. When I got back to the building to get my car, one of the commissions members saw me getting out of the cab and was asking where I was coming from. I was soooo tired, as it was 2a.m., that I was babbling incoherantly and she probably thought I was drunk. I'm sure it didnt help matters much that I told her I was just coming back to get my car after being out with the boss....yeah probably not. Saturday I had my dentist appointment. Apparently I'm grinding my teeth again, and I'm grinding them so bad that since my last checkup I'm actually fracturing pieces of my teeth off. So they made me a night guard and I have to go pick it up on Thursday so I dont eat my teeth in my sleep anymore :) After the dentist, I drove out to Schaumburg and had lunch with Nina and Laine and Patrick. We had a waiter that was kind of a ditz, I still can picture him....tall, skinny, brown hair, red shirt...very distinct he was LOL. After lunch I went to Scherville, IN with my parents for my 2nd cousins third bday party. Both of those little girls are too cute for words...my dad asked Mackenzie where her dad was and she told us that he was out for a smoke. Then when my cousin Dan came back downstairs and said he wasnt smoking, he was cleaning up the red wine that she spilled upstairs....my cousin told him to get over it LOL. Are we related or what? LOL Sunday I went to yoga as usual, then cleaned house mostly all day, then Jeff and I went to Chi Tung for dinner. Its one of my favorite places for dinner, but the people next to us let their kids run all over the place so there were two girls kind of bugging us until the hostess shooed them away. It was funny though, at least I thought...once I gave them a bit of attention they were like little leeches, oh well, my bad. Yesterday was a typical pyscho Monday at work, and on top of that the Security Director got fired so now the building is reaaaaaally messed up. What is going on in this place huh? Oh well, I'm going back to watching TV so I best be going. Lata'

Y'all ready for another one out of the brain of Katie? Ok here goes this one is good ...<br /><br />I dreamt that I was getting married in Vegas. My plane was set to take off at 6pm and I was going to meet my groom out there. My parents and Nina (alright Nina, you made it into the weird dreams!! LOL) were going to fly out with me and be there for the ceremony. At 5pm the day of the flight, we all realized that we were still at home and the flight was leaving in an hour. My parents were procrastinating and wouldnt get their things together, so Nina and I left without them. I threw a big pile of clothes into a suitcase, and we got in a cab and got stuck in horrid traffic, but we still got to the airport in time to check in. The woman at the airport said the plane was leaving in 10 minutes out of gate 37B and told us some directions on how to get there. Nina and I started running through the airport trying to follow her directions and the signs leading to 37B but neither one lead us to where the plane was leaving from. We wound ourselves around and around the airport, which had mall-like shopping in it and we found ourselves in a Pottery Barn instead. By then it was past 6pm and we missed my flight, leaving my groom-to-be in Vegas without me :(<br /><br />Weird huh? I'm not sure if that one is going to beat the other ones...I dont remember if I journaled about them but I dreamt once that 80ft. monsters were attacking Bloomington on a weekend I was in town. I went over to Allison and James' house to warn them, but when I got there a monster ripped the roof off their house and started stomping around. James wasnt home, so Allison and I built a tent in the living room and the monster couldnt find us.<br /><br />The last one before last night, I dreamt that when I was on vacation spaceships attacked the town and they were shooting beebee pellets at people LOL

<lj:music>"Must Have Been Love"-Roxette (an audition song choice)</lj:music>

Gosh, its Sunday already I cant believe it. Last week was borderline horrid. Donna got let go from LPT and so now its just me :( We were supposed to find out if our management contract was being renewed last Thursday but the Board postponed it for another two weeks so I have to wait two weeks to find out if I still have my job. Oh goody. I'm sending out resumes, I even emailed my former manager from LPT to see if he knows of anything open so maybe I can jump ship before the Titanic sinks again. Wow, that was poetic if I do say so myself. Liz went on vacation, and I emailed her yesterday an email in Spanish reminding her to bring me a bottle of tequila back LOL I had a bit of help from Altavista.com though...it kinda reminded me of my college days when I would cut and paste my homework LOL which is probably why I cant speak Spanish anymore haha ooops my bad. Anywho, this weekend I was TOTALLY boring. Friday I was going to go out with Donna but she ended up staying over at her friends house instead, then the maintenance guys from work never called me, so I decided to stay home because I had to get up early Saturday to run errands anyways. So, I got up Saturday...had all intentions of going to the DMV to change my address finally to Oak Lawn but alas the Bridgeview location isnt open on Saturdays, its the Midlothian one and by the time I would have gotten there I woulda stood in line forever so I just went to the bank instead. That turned out well though because I deposited some bonds into my savings account and now I'm 600 dollars richer, hurray!! I also found a guy to refinish my bathtub through a lady at work, who will only charge about 300 bucks to do it, yippee!! Although, Im going to wait and see if I have a job first. Saturday night I ended up staying home as well, I went shopping with Ang and out to Chi Tung for dinner. I havent been feeling 100% lately, I have been attributing it to the patch but who knows...I need a new doctor cuz this one is getting on my nerves. Grrr. Today I went to yoga, then visited with my grandparents and my aunt for awhile. I was supposed to help Jen and Dan move but I got tied up talking to my aunt about this patch so I only made it in time for pizza at Nino's LOL. I'm always there for pizza LOL. Now its almost 10pm and my dad is picking me up at 630 tomorrow morning because he doesnt want me driving because of the march and rally tomorrow. Consequently, now I have to get up at the butt crack of dawn...at least I'm getting a free coffee and bagel and dont have to fight traffic though right? Well, lets hope tomorrow goes by fast. Till then...!<br /><br />P.S. I'm auditioning for Bar One's Next Big Break again this year. My audition date is Monday, June 12th at 7pm. Its at Duffy's on Diversey and Sheridan, come one come all!!

    <lj:music>"Bring It On Home"-Little Big Town</lj:music>

Well, back to the real world today and I'm telling ya it was a really rough transition. I couldnt get up this morning at all, I still thought I was in the hotel in Nashville. Then I left without my purse and I even took the keys with me at the valet instead of leaving them in the ignition for the valet guys!! My mind was still on vacation and it all started on Thursday right after my last journal entry...(hows that for a segue?!?!) Thursday we got to Midway with plenty of time to spare. We were finally up for boarding and we were told there was something wrong with the plane and we had to switch to a different gate and wait another hour before we could board. Well...it was a pain in the ass but I'd rather get on a plane that works and get to Nashville alive any day. The flight was quick and not too bumpy, we got to our little Sonata, fired up the "Hertz Never Lost Navigation System"(which ironically enough got us lost and routed us to the Midway Motel on more than one occasion) and headed to the Quality Inn. ("What you doin'?...Nothin' chillin' at the Quality Inn" LOL) Unfortunately they didnt say that the hotel was situated in the slums of Nashville and Nina and I were scurred. The sign said, "Newly Renovated Rooms" which obviously meant they just recently got a new coat of paint on the walls. We brought our stuff into our room and plotted our first adventure. We headed downtown to the Melting Pot for dinner, followed by some shopping and barhopping in the downtown Nashville area. I found my pink rhinestone cowgirl hat that I've been looking for, and I bought shot glasses for Josh, Liz and Donna. Our first bar was Crossroads (my new favorite bar). We were greeted immediately by the band playing on stage, who we later came to know as 4x4. The bar wasnt too crowded so we got to chat with the band and their friends. One guy said that Chicago people always say "holla"...I politely informed him that only people in St. Louis say that. One of the bartenders bore a striking resemblance to Tim McGraw. Unfortunately I think I offended him by saying he only looked like Tim from far away...Nina and I should have snapped a picture with him that night and told everyone we really did meet Tim McGraw, he really looked like him from far away its true. After Crossroads we went down the street to "Wanna B's Karaoke Bar"...yes I know, right where I belong. It took forever to get to sing my song but it went well and Nina took some pictures of me on stage in Nashville...cool huh? It was a long day so we called it a night after I sang. Friday we both slept until 11am!!! When we eventually got up and moving, we went shopping at the OpryMills Mall. First we had lunch at the Alabama grill, then I bought an orange Tennessee hat just like Kenny wears, a Green Bay Packers toothbrush, a new pair of gym shoes(I forgot to pack mine), a pair of totally cute Bandolinos for only 15 bucks, home manicure kit, Pear butter, Lynchburg hot sauce for my mom, a reaaaaaally cute summer dress(Brendan if we do go to that wedding I think thats what I'll wear), Little Big Town, Keith Anderson, and Mat Kearney cd's, and I'm sure some other stuff but I cant think of it. After shopping we went to the Grand Ole Opry which was an awesome time. Terri Clark closed the show, I only wish we could have heard more than two songs from her. Saturday morning we actually got up when we wanted to! Our first stop after buying the Nashville Total Access pass was the Belle Meade Plantation. We got a tour of the Belle Meade Mansion which was decorated as it was back in the late 1800s. Following Belle Meade was the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. I have decided that when Kenny and I get married, thats where the wedding will be(then we will start working on Kyle, Keith, Kaylee, Kelly,Kira, and Kenny Jr. LOL) After Cheekwood we hightailed it to the Country Music Hall of Fame for the last hour it was open. We grabbed a beer at Crossroads again, it was the same band playing. When we walked in the door, the guitar player said, Illinois is in the house! We stayed for a beer, then went on a long journey to find a place to eat dinner. We had some chow, watched a little bit of the White Sox game then headed out to the Ryman Auditorium for the INXS concert!!! Following the concert, we went back to Crossroads but nothing much was going on by then so we just had one beer and went back to the hotel. Sunday we had breakfast at the Waffle House then went to the fleamarket to see if we could spot Keith and Nicole...we found some really great bargains (like a 10 dollar pair of Versace jeans!) but alas, no Keith or Nicole. After lunch we brought the rental car back and sat and sat and sat and sat in the airport until our plane took off. Josh came to Midway to pick us up, thanks Josh holla'!! My parents had my 2nd cousins Brittney and Tyler because while they were staying with my cousins Mike and Donna, the surroggate thats carrying Mike and Donna's triplets had some complications and they had to up and leave to Iowa where the woman lives. Hopefully everything is ok. So, I got home unpacked a little and my parents came over later with my little Chesney monster who I missed oh so much!! Today I mentioned was a bit hectic since my mind was still on vacation. My friend Chris from Springfield just got a job in Lincolnshire and has a drug test tomorrow morning so he's crashing here. He should be here soon so I'm going to end my Nashville essay now. G'night y'all and dont forget to get drunk and be somebody <whistle>yeeawww LOL

Really, I must be on candid camera. What other explanation could there be? Liz and I met up with her sister and her coworker for dinner. We went to a really neat little place out in Greektown, then went out to the bar for Date and Dash. At first we didnt think we were going to date we seriously considered dashing instead. There was this guy Ivan who was totally like a character on a movie about dating gone wrong. The other guys were definately not my type but at least they were somewhat talkative. Then I see this totally hot guy join the group, until he sat down at my station I was smitten. The second he sits down, hes like do you do any outdoor activities like wind surfing, snowmobiling, skiing? I looked at him kinda funny and said, well Chicago doesnt really have a lot of places to do most those things. He gave me a funny look, and said ok do you travel? I said, yes matter of fact I'm leaving for Nashville in the morning. He said, not that kind of travel, I mean overseas. He had been to Australia, all over Europe, Canada etc. Must be nice to be able to do that, but with a mortgage and a full time job to pay it, theres not much time for flying to Australia for a month now is there? LOL, the hottest guy there was the host, and I think I'll attend a few more Date and Dashes and get to know him. There wasnt an option on the card to select the host, so thats the best way I guess. I chatted with him about country music, he was a big country fan, bestill my heart LOL. He just saw Brad Paisley, Im so jealous...but I get to go to the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night to see Terri Clark...although if we only stayed a little longer I could have see Keith Anderson :( damn him for playing on a Tuesday LOL. Ok well cab should be here soon to take Nina and I to Midway to get on our plane and go to country land!!!!!! HAHA! So long everyone!

    <lj:music>"Maybe it was Memphis(or Nashville)"-Pam Tillis</lj:music>

Its like the Twilight Zone around these parts lately I swear. It all started Monday with an unusually crazy day. Yesterday was Tuesday and I thought it would be an ok day, I was wrong. There was this really impatient woman demanding to speak to someone, although no one was available to take her call. She told me to get up and find someone in the building...yes literally leave the desk and find someone. It was all because of a dog odor, turns out the police came to do a well being check and found the dog what seemed to be dead. This guy owes a ton of money as it is because he has two dogs and one is over weight limit by a very substantial amount. Anywho, the dog was alive afterall, just very very ill. He left the dog in the unit by itself and took his big dog with him wherever he went. The dog stunk, they thought it was a dead body it apparently smelled so bad. So anyways, what a day. I am on my way home from work, driving down Cicero when this junky Acura is speeding in and out of traffic. Coming up on Ford City mall, a nice white Monte Carlo swoops in front of the Acura and stops his car diagonal in the middle lane. Luckily I was in the left lane for this cuz the guy got out of his car with a baseball bat. He was screaming cuss words at the female driver, then as traffic started moving, he ran back to his car. I watched in my rearview mirror and they disappeared into the traffic <phew> but it wasnt over. Around 87th street, here comes the little Acura again speeding in between cars and weaving in and out of traffic. She tries getting between me and a car but I sped up. She cut behind me and was half in my lane and half in the left turn lane. The white Monte Carlo is in the far right lane, parks it, gets out again with his baseball bat screaming obscenities again...this time behind my car!!!!! He ran back to his car and a guy jumped out of the Acura to run after him, but the light turned green and the driver of the Acura sped away leaving her passenger standing in Cicero Ave. LOL. I went home, packed some stuff for my trip hugged my little Chesney after hearing about that poor doggy, then went to bed. Today, I get a call from a resident. I answer the phone and immediately am bombarded with complaints about our phones. People have been complaining that the lines are busy, and I told her I was aware of it and had called the phone company. She started screaming at me for being rude to her, saying I should have said, "I am very very sorry M'aam". She then proceeded to tell me I must have had a horrible upbringing and my mother did a horrible job raising me for being so ill mannered and rude. She asked how old I was, I told her 25. She said her daughter was 26 and would have hell to pay if she ever spoke that way to her. I should have asked her when the last time she has seen her daughter LOL, Id disown my mom if she was nuts like that. Anywho, I asked her if she had any real reason for calling. She then proceeded to tell me how it was ridiculous that she had to ask permission to talk to anyone on staff in the office, and how she hopes Draper Kramer is out of this office cuz its such a horrible outfit. MY GOD LADY, so I just sat on the phone didnt say anything and she eventually just hung up. Nice, well at least Tim bought us pizza that was a nice relief from the day. Now, Im going to Greektown with Liz for dinner then off to Date and Dash...then to NASHVILLE in the morning!!! Yippeee!!!!!!!! Ok ttyl!

Well, Friday I was going to go with Michelle and Amy and their friends to Hogs and Hunneys on the northside but I didnt want to go by myself since I needed to leave early, so I just didnt go. It probably was the best idea anyways, because I went on a much needed grocery store escapade and stocked the kitchen again. Plus, I got my exercise for the week lugging those bags from the car upstairs to my condo. My mom and I went to yoga on Saturday at 8am, I should do that more often, I have such a better day when I get up early and exercise. Then I weighed in at Weight Watchers...down 1.6 pounds, YESSSS! We went to the bank, and I took a bunch of matured bonds out of my parents safety deposit box. That will come in handy thats for sure, I need to do so many things around here and with the car its not even funny. First I'm getting drapes though, thats most important..considering I've only lived here 8 months and STILL have no drapes. We went for breakfast, then I went home and got ready to shop till I drop. I met up with Nina at Woodfield and boy oh boy, you put the two of us in a mall and we sure can do some damage!! And just that we did, right Nina? LOL. Wanna know what I bought? Well, Im going to tell you no matter what...I got a pair of gaucho pants(which I'm wearing now, theyre so damn cute!) a new yoga outfit, a jean skirt, 3 new necklaces including a flip flop necklace, and a big bright green flowered bag to take as my carry on to Nashville. That was from New York and Company...then I bought a bottle of Escada Sentiment. It kinda smells like the Versace Red Jeans..maybe thats what it reminded you of Nina cuz I do have that but only wear it every once and awhile. Then we went to Bath and Body Works and if you spend 20 bucks you get a tote bag with tons of free samples for 15 bucks...so of course we got the tote. Those samples are too much fun though, I gave my mom all the anti-wrinkle creams but Im keeping the lotions and lip plumper LOL. While Nina got her toes done, Jeff met me up at the mall and when Nina was done Jeff and I went to Borders. I got a new yoga DVD, a book full of Spanish curses and dirty sayings so I can swear at the maintenance guys hahaha, I got a dance cd for my home workout days, and a compilation cd for .02 hahah, yeah two cents. Its actually a really good mix of songs! After Borders we went for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. That place rocks, I am a pizza fanatic so it was really tough decided which one to get. I got the white pizza that has all different cheeses on it with spinach and garlic. After dinner we tried to go see a movie but there wasnt anything we wanted to see playing for at least an hour, so we went to Houlihans over in the Woodfield parking lot. We stayed for a drink or two and then called it a night...I went home and unpacked my stuff...thats always the best part of shopping, reliving the experience through unpacking. LOL, anywho, its Easter already can we believe it? No we cant. Im on my way to my parents house in a little bit to hang out until we go to my Aunt Bobbie's house for dinner. I have a short week ahead of me, tomorrow will probably fly by since Mondays usually do. Tuesday I'll be out of the office for a good chunk of time for accounting classes at the Draper Kramer corporate office. Then Im going to the Tuesday kickboxing class since I'll be out of town on Thursday. Wednesday Im not sure if the day will fly at all, but Liz and I are going to Date and Dash after work. Last I heard Josh was going too, but its definately Liz and I if no one else. Then Nina and I are leeeeeeeeeeaving on a jet plane...on Thursday. Im totally psyched and I NEED to start packing soon...Ive been trying to catch up on laundry so I have some clean cute clothes to pack. Good times, I cant wait...country music hall of fame here I come! Ok well I should leave now for my parents house...catch ya later y'all!

    <lj:music>"Savin' Me"-Nickelback</lj:music>

I just typed a week worth of an entry and the computer erased it while I shut the windows for the tornado weather outside....great. I could get my night shower just by standing in front of an open window in this place LOL. I reaaaaaally dont feel like typing again so here's short version...Someone woke me up at 3am on Sunday morning screaming WHORE and laying on the horn repeatedly, it was probably someone I dated...if said male is reading this now, congratulations you just prove that I only date losers LOL. I went back to bed. Sunday I went to yoga, then went to Hooters with Josh and his peeps. I drank too much and was hungover at work on Monday...the maintenance guys are still asking me if I'm hungover. Do I look that bad? LOL hmmm...anywho, I skipped my last aerobics class Monday because I felt like puking still. Tuesday I went for dinner with Amy at Water Tower. I had mac and cheese but I didnt finish it so I had it doggy bagged so I could eat it some other time. Well, I put it on my kitchen table and left it there all night :( Damn. Wednesday we had some legal issues at work in which I will probably be sued and become Jesse Misers cell mate because of LOL....but the attorney was from E.P. and us Southsiders have to stick together so I'm sure he'll vouch for me. Today was more drama, because I still cant get the insurance company to send me a copy of something that was given to me to mail. Like I'm freakin' psychic and knew my boss didnt make a copy of his own document....grrr. I'm being profiled in the LPT newsletter next month...thats cool, as long as theres not a picture of me in there its ok. Tomorrow I'm getting a manicure and my eyebrows done for my vaca...coming up soon! Saturday Nina and I are vacation shopping I am so psyched! Then I'm meeting up with Jeff, the guy I went out with last weekend. I have no idea what we're going to do, but I found a gift card to Bahama Breeze, it was from Laine and I totally forgot I had it. Maybe we'll go there...I think I need to make a journal entry that only my Live Journal friends can read because I have some other topics I could really use advice on however; I dont know who is reading this now therefore...if you're curious feel free to comment on this entry and ask me and I will put it into a personal email...depending on whos asking of course LOL. Ok off to another fun day at LPT in a few hours so off to bed for now...say a little prayer that the lightening stops and I can open my bedroom windows again... I hate feeling like I'm sleeping through a tsunami.

    <lj:music>"Light My Candle"- RENT</lj:music>

I LOVED RENT!!! I went and bought the soundtrack and the DVD which I just finished watching. I think I want to be an actress, I could play Maureen and get to do the cow monologue...Charley can vouch for me on my mooing abilities cant you Charley? Anywho, I told my parents I was going to take acting lessons and my dad said that for the show I put on last night, I dont need lessons cuz I have acting down to a tee....that was harsh. I told my mom that Id pick up Chesney after work and take her to school, although she doesnt remember that conversation so she had my dad pick up Chesney to meet me at the school...only I got home at 6:20 and there was no dog. I called my dad and he said he was at the school, but it was pointless to drive out there then, since I was running late and wasnt going to be able to take her anyways. So now they're mad that I made them drive Chesney out there and didnt think about them....huh? LOL...I think I'll take acting lessons anyways itll help my stage presence. I forgot to mention in my last entry but I think I found a band finally. My dad's friend's son has a band and they need a singer. Only thing is that they sing a lot of guy songs, so I'll need to learn how to sing a little lower and they'll need to learn a few of MY songs LOL....this is great, I finally have a chance to pretend I'm Amy Lee!!! Rockin' dude, ok well I know its only 11pm and this makes me a really old and boring fuddy duddy but, Im going to bed. The end.<br /><br /><br />"Theres only us, there's only this. <lj:music>"Seasons of Love"-Rent</lj:music>

Im going to see Rent today downtown with Laine and Patrick...I cant believe its here already, time is just flying by!! Ok since I cant seem to sit down and journal like I used to I need to backtrack to March 24th which was my last entry. I'm over the head cold thank god, I started taking that Allegra more regularly to avoid another episode like that. I swear though, someone must have slipped some Paxil into the Allegra bottle because I'm sooooooo freakin' happy and awake!! I didnt think allergy meds could do that, but I'm alot more energized during the day, and that cloud has left my brain and I can think clearer! WHOA! God, I need to journal more often because now I cant remember what happened recently. Chesney missed her first class because I was sick, I skipped that aerobics class cuz I couldnt breathe. Next Friday, Chesney went to class. Shes so goofy, she was barking and growling at the other dogs. Then she kept moving around when the instructor was trying to explain things, so I missed half the instructions. I actually had tears in my eyes because I was so frustrated with this dog. Donna said that her sister took the dog to obedience school and cried out of frustration too...she was pregnant and didnt know yet. Should I take an EPT? haha, lets not go there again shall we? After her class, I got back in the car and drove back up north to meet up with Liz at LPT. We went to Trader Todds to meet up with Donna, who just moved into a new apartment!! So we had a mini karaoke celebration for her move and for the sake of drinking too. Sunday my mom and I started our yoga class, and I LOVE it. She had yoga music on and gave us all aromatherapy oils to use. I did a lot better than I thought I would too...I was able to hold the downward dog pose and go right into the runners lunge, back into downward dog pose and into child's pose, just like the rest of the class!! Aweeeeeeesome! Monday I was totally sore, but I made it to aerobics somehow, although I thought I was going to pass out by half way through. Tuesday Josh and I started carpooling, theres security guards in the lots so we have to dodge them every morning. I came up with a great story though...if they ask me, my friend is staying at the hotel without a car and Im there to pick him up! Anywho, the gas money Im getting is really helping my broke as a jokeness thats for damn sure so thank you Josh LOL. The week was relatively uneventful, yesterday I went to lunch with Liz and Josh to T.G.I.Fridays and Im thinking about scarfing the leftovers down before I leave for Rent but its only 10:15 so maybe not. After work, I had a date with a guy named Jeff....yes I know, you dont have to say it cuz I hear it from my mother. Not just Jeff's but J names in general I have a magnet for...Jim, Justin, Jeff, Jake,John, Jay blah blah blah LOL, its not my fault!! Anywho, I had a really great time we went to Applebees for dinner then to the movies. We saw Inside Man, great movie but I was so tired and it was a bit of a long movie so my eyes started closing a little at the end. But I'd still recommend it to anyone thinking of seeing it. So now, Im out the door to go downtown and meet up with Laine and Patrick for lunch then see Rent!!!!! Tonight I'm going to McDuffys I think, then tomorrow is yoga and maybe a visit to Poppy...he started chemo Thursday, my parents said hes doing good and sleeping and has an appetite now so its looking good!! :) Ok y'all catch ya later!

    <lj:music>"Seasons Change"-Expose</lj:music>

My last journal entry was last Saturday, almost a week ago and surprisingly I dont have much to report on. Sunday I did go shopping at Trader Joes as planned...its so much fun I love that place! I power shopped and in half an hour I had the cart filled to the brim but only spent 80 bucks I cant believe it! I had to power shop for a reason though, my aunt was on her way in from Iowa and we all were going up to the hospital cuz my grandpa had been admitted on Friday but I had just found out Sunday. So I shopped, then went home and unpacked my stuff and headed to Christ Hospital. I pulled up to the ticket taker machine to get into the garage and the thing spit three tickets out at me but the gate didnt open. There were two gates yet there was someone waiting behind me instead. He beeped and I just gave him a confused look in my rear view mirror...hey buddy do you see the gate going up? Yeah neither do I what are you beeping for? So he went around me, and then I had to reverse and go behind him. The machine then only gave me one ticket and I was able to park...crisis solved. My gramps looks pretty yucky...hes always been a robust kind of a guy, never fat but always had a beer belly...probably from all the beer he drank day in and day out. He was really gross and skinny, and apparently there were lots of nodules that showed up on his chest X-ray and instead of doing any biopsy or anything they just sent him home. Tuesday he is going to go for his prognosis so my mom is driving him and my grandma to the doctor and I'll have more info then. Monday, the old guy in the class was our sub. for the regular instructor and I think I worked harder with him as an instructor than I did when Olivia Newton John was leading the class. I was totally drained when I left the Pavilion on Monday!! Thats about it for my week...I stayed home from work today with a bad head cold. I was running a 101.5 fever last night so I figured it was best to just stay home rather than sneeze and cough all over everyone. Yesterday at work I knew I was feeling sick, and it just got worse through the day. When I was waiting for my car in the garage lobby, I had my cheek pressed up against the glass cuz it was cold. Tim was parking his car in front and saw me, and came in to say goodnight. He said see you tomorrow, and I said "I hope so". He stopped and came back into the lobby and asked what that meant. I rattled off my list of symptoms, the runny nose being last. He said,"runny nose? sounds like allergies, take an Allegra and you'll be fine!" and then walked out the door. Now, I just had a doctor prescribe me Allegra dont you think I wouldnt be sick it that was all that would fix it? Hmm, lol. Ok well, I just took some night time cold meds so I better be hitting the couch for my nightly dose of Law and Order till I doze off. Night all!!

    <lj:music>"Whats Your Fantasy"-Ludacris</lj:music>

I'll try to make this recap short, although I doubt that will happen since so much happens in a week but...Last weekend, I went with Donna and Liz to Fado downtown and I met this Irish guy who was staying with his sister who lived on 109th and Keating how weird... needless to say I had to leave my car at LPT that night and Liz drove me home. I woke up Saturday morning, went to catch the bus to go downtown and get my car luckily I called my dad and he came and drove me downtown. Apparently while we were waiting for Liz's car I saw the lady that did my hair and gave her a hug, and then the night doorman who normally is the day doorman got an interesting show and all week he kept asking me what this weekends plans were and snickering LOL. So, Saturday I drove down to Bloomington and went to Allisons baby shower. After the shower, Nina, Heather, Allison and I went to Miller Park Zoo to see Dave for his birthday. We went to T.G.I.Fridays yummm!!! Then Nina and I drove to Chris' house in the scariest storm...it was lightning and blinding me on the road, then there was this hazy mist that made it tough to see the road when it curved YIKES!! So we got to Chris' , then they followed me back home and stayed the night by me because the Southside Irish parade was Sunday!!!!! We went, duh, then we went to Quigleys for a bite to eat, a few pints of Guiness(well the Guiness was only for me), and they gave us these really cool cups that turn green when they're cold and white when the cold is gone. I think I left them at Quigleys, either that or they're in my car dont know. So we went home, it seemed so late but it was only 7 sheesh, so I stopped over to the Brook residence and picked up my books went home and pretty much crashed out of exhaust (see Donna, you said Id never see those books again, looks like you were wrong LOL)Monday was my aerobics class again, she was wearing a red white and blue leotard this time, no kidding. Nothing really interesting during the week, oh wait this was funny...Monday night at 945 Tim called me to see where we kept the 3-hole punch paper, lol, even funnier was that Donna had already showed him earlier in the day. We came to work Tuesday and the place was a mess...he was trying to make copies and apparently ran out of toner AND couldnt find the paper, so the machine was all in pieces on the floor HAHA! Hes such a baby sometimes. Wednesday I bought lunch for the girls to make up for my spectacle on Friday, we ordered this AWESOME pizza it was delish let me tell ya. I more than made up for my minor indescretions LOL, at least I hope. Yesterday was my second favorite holiday, ST. PATRICKS DAY!!! Donna and I went in on some shamrock cookies and decorated the office, and everyone wore tons of green except for Josh who is now not allowed into the office, whats up with that? He lives on the Southside, so I told him we should carpool. Hes paying 13 bucks a day to park downtown, thats crazy when I dont live that far. So we'll see...the four of us went out last night. We were going to go to Fado, but it was too cold to walk to then we were going to go to the Pier but apparently Donna and Liz though it was too touristy and expensive, like Fado wasnt? LOL, so we ended up driving out to Bridgeport to a little dive bar near Donna's house...we had a good time we got there for dinner and started drinking around 6, and we left at like 11:30 but it seemed like we had been there all day. I lost track of how many pints I had, when Josh ordered another I did too, so Id have to ask him if he was counting LOL Ok well, I have to get some breakfast, clean house and get out to Jen's jewelry party in Steger, then I'm going out with Amy and Michelle for Michelle's bday, then grocery shopping with my mom at Trader Joes tomorrow!! Yahoo!!! What a crazy weekend! Later!
